THOMAS JEFFERSON ON DEMOCRACY

Notice how Jefferson insists there must be a populist element to democracy as regards oppositions to lending institutions. Remember Goldman Sacs is a major donor to both the Democratic and Republican parties simultaneously so no matter who wins they have a piece of the pie. Financial power since the time of Jefferson has grown immensely and not only are banks a threat to democracy so also are corporations especially multinational corporations which is why democracy must have a nationalist element in addition to a social populist element. In other words, democracy must a fusion of Social Populism and Ethno-Nationalism.
